Times Up Campaign

The CFMEU, along with the Electrical Trades Union and the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union, recently completed a tour of Queensland to fight against Howard’s industrial relations laws.

Officials representing each of the three unions spoke to community meetings, workplace meetings and rallies to spread the message of the Your Rights at Work campaign.

Of further importance to these unions is the Howard Government’s attack on workers in the building and construction industry through the Australian Building and Construction Commission, and laws that specifically attack workers and unions in the building and construction industry.

All of these meetings, rallies and forums passed motions condemning the Howard Government for their anti-worker, pro-business laws that cut the wages and conditions of working families.
